Director’s Message
As the Iğdır University Population and Migration Studies Application and Research Center, we continue our efforts to understand the social, economic, and cultural impacts of migration and to provide scientific contributions in this field. Established by a regulation published in the Official Gazette on May 17, 2019, our center conducts comprehensive studies and research on migration and population dynamics.
Our center conducts in-depth analyses of the impacts of migration on social structures, focusing on academic research in social integration and migration policies. Through projects carried out at both national and international levels, we aim to expand our knowledge in this field and strengthen public awareness.
To achieve our research and educational goals, we adopt an interdisciplinary approach, providing support to our students and researchers in this field. Our center also collaborates with public institutions and the private sector to contribute to the development of migration policies and strategies.
Remembering that migration is not just mobility but also a significant process of social change, we will continue our efforts to ensure that this process is accurately understood and effectively managed.
